Susan Elizabeth Phillips is one of my favourite romance authors!
There's no one quite like her and when I describe her to people I always struggle with authors to compare her with. There's no one quite like Susan!
The best description I've come up with is that Susan writes romances that are most similar to the screwball comedies of the 30s and 40s but with a contemporary setting. Think Bringing Up Baby with a modern day twist! They're very, very funny!
This month we're publishing the delightful This Heart of Mine, along with two other of Susan's novels: Nobody's Baby But Mine and Heaven, Texas. Wonderful romps one and all...
This Heart of Mine also has one of my favourite opening lines to a romance novel - see above!

Mmmmm... I’ve never read any SEP, but after rave reviews from some of my online friends I have had a copy of her book Heaven Texas in my wish list for some time, I guess this is just the push I need to go buy it :- )
As for my favourite romantic comedy writer, I’m really not too sure, I will have to do some serious thinking, I just hope the echo of marbles won’t wake my whole house up ; -) I really like Mary Janice Davidson’s Undead & Wyndham werewolves Series, Maeve Haran, Sophie Kinsella’s Can you Keep a Secret ( not too keen on her shopaholic series-sorry) , Jill Mansell, Freya North, and Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series, I guess that’s kinda a rom com series, along with Charlaine Harris’s Sookie series- it certainly makes me laugh!
Most of my book shelves seem to be filled with either Urban/Supernatural Fantasies or Thrillers/Mysteries I guess I will have to put some thought into changing that, Oh dear more book shopping for me then :-)

I adore Christina Jones. She's one of my all-time favourite romantic comedy writers and she's simply fantastic. I also really love Katie Fforde, Jill Mansell, Sophie Kinsella and Jennifer Crusie.

As for the authors you mentioned, I must say I have very similar tastes myself. Christina Jones is great and is incidentally also one of our authors. Her new book 'Heaven, Sent' is out in august and is definitely one to watch for as it's hilariously gripping.
As for giving a favourite, I must say I always find that difficult too. All the authors have such different humour and I find I am drawn towards authors depending on what frame of mind I'm in at the time.
